How to Reset Your Password on the Autom Mate Platform
Before enabling and configuring the "Forget Password" feature on the Autom Mate platform, it's essential to ensure that the email server is correctly set up. This configuration allows the platform to send out critical notifications, including password reset emails.
You need to configure the mail server settings by specifying the server name, port, and SSL options. For example, if you're using Gmail's SMTP service, you would set the host to smtp.gmail.com and the port to 587 with TLS enabled. Additionally, you'll need to provide the sender's name and email address, select the appropriate email protocol (SMTP or SMTPS), and decide whether to enable TLS encryption. If your mail server requires authentication, ensure you enter the correct username and email address.
After configuring these settings, it is crucial to test the email functionality by sending a test mail to a valid email address to confirm that the system is set up correctly. Only after verifying the successful delivery of test emails should, you proceed with configuring the "Forget Password" feature.
If you need to reset your password for the Autom Mate platform, follow these steps:
Start the Password Reset Process
On the login screen, click on the "Forgot Password" button to begin the password reset process.
Enter Your Email Address
You will be redirected to a page where you need to enter your email address. Make sure to use the email address that is registered with Autom Mate in the user management section.
After entering your email, click on the "Reset Password" button.
Email Notification
After clicking the "Reset Password" button, a notification will appear at the top of the screen confirming that a reset email has been sent.
Check Your Email
Open your email inbox and look for an email from Autom Mate that contains a "Reset Password" button.
If the button does not work, the email also contains a reset password link that you can click to proceed.
Reset Your Password
Click on the "Reset Password" button or link in the email. You will be redirected to a page where you can enter your new password.
Enter your new password and then click the "Change Password" button.
Login with Your New Password
Once you have successfully changed your password, you can log in to the Autom Mate platform using your email address and the new password you just set.
By following these steps, you can easily reset your password and regain access to the Autom Mate platform.
