# Connect an AI client with MCP

Connect your AI assistant to Autom Mate to find Hyperflows, inspect runs and start a supported existing Hyperflow from a conversation.

## Before you begin

* Use an Autom Mate cloud workspace on an `autommate.app` domain with Dublin 6.0.0 MCP support.
* Have an Autom Mate username and password, plus permission for the records or operations you need.
* Use an AI client that supports remote MCP, Streamable HTTP and OAuth. Your AI subscription and organization policy must allow custom connections.

| Connection setting | Value |
| ------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Server URL | `https://mcp.autommate.app/mcp` |
| Transport | Streamable HTTP |
| Authentication | OAuth through Autom Mate |
| Workspace | Short name only: `acme` for `https://acme.autommate.app` |
| Autom Mate sign-in | **Sign in Using Credentials** |
| API key or custom headers | Not required |

## What you can do next

Start with: **“Show the Hyperflows I can access. Do not run or change anything.”**

The assistant should call a discovery tool and return permitted Hyperflows, or an empty result if none are available to your user. Opening the sign-in screen alone does not complete the connection. See [Verify the connection and troubleshoot](/userguide/mcp-and-ai-reference/connect-an-ai-client-with-mcp/verify-mcp-connection.md).

The current capability guide includes the expanded authoring, Service and deployment tools advertised by the connection reviewed on 21 October 2026. The earlier 14-tool discovery/run inventory is historical. Check your authenticated connection's actual tools, installed build and permissions. See [capability boundaries](/userguide/mcp-and-ai-reference/capabilities-and-version-scope.md) and the [individual tool references](/userguide/mcp-and-ai-reference/tools.md). For reading guides through an AI client, use the separate [documentation retrieval guide](/userguide/mcp-and-ai-reference/read-documentation-from-an-ai-client.md).

Your AI client receives the data returned by the tools you use. Review your organization's AI policy and the provider's data controls before connecting. Autom Mate permissions continue to apply to every call.
