# System requirements and ports

CPU, memory, disk and network reference for Autom Center and Mate Agent.

### Hardware at a glance

These hardware and port requirements were reconfirmed on 14 October 2026. Autom Center and Mate Agent are usually installed together on one Autom Mate server.

| Component | CPU | RAM | Free disk |
| --------------------------------------------- | ---------------- | ------------- | --------- |
| Autom Mate server (Autom Center + Mate Agent) | 4 cores, 2.4 GHz | 16 GB or more | 250 GB |

For separate-host deployments, the published specification is the same for each component host. For data-heavy processing, use 32 GB RAM as the recommended starting point and size for concurrent work and retained data.

An unlimited-Hyperflow entitlement does not determine concurrent execution capacity. Check [runtime metrics](/userguide/administration-and-runtimes/plan-execution-and-runtime-setup.md) against a representative workload.

### Which components do you host?

| Deployment | Autom Center | Mate Agent | What you prepare |
| --------------------------- | ------------------- | ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Fully managed cloud | Autom Mate cloud | Autom Mate cloud | Browser access and the application connections used by your automations |
| Hybrid | Autom Mate cloud | Your infrastructure | Mate Agent host and the approved Center–Agent network paths |
| On-premises / private cloud | Your infrastructure | Your infrastructure | Center and Agent hosts, storage, certificates and network paths |

### Network ports

For separate Center and Agent hosts:

| Source | Destination | Destination port | Firewall direction |
| ------------ | ------------ | ---------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| Autom Center | Mate Agent | TCP 5051 | Outbound from Center; inbound to Agent |
| Mate Agent | Autom Center | TCP 443 | Outbound from Agent; inbound to Center |

For hybrid deployments, the Center side is in Autom Mate cloud. Restrict each rule to the approved source and destination for your deployment. Applications called by a Hyperflow can require additional destinations and ports.

On a shared host, Center–Agent communication is local; there is no separate inter-host firewall path to open. Browser, integration and external access still follow that host's configuration.

For fully managed cloud, Autom Mate manages the Center–Agent server ports. See [Network and connectivity](/userguide/administration-and-runtimes/network-and-connectivity.md) for DNS, proxy and connection checks.

### Operating systems and browsers

Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for browser access.

Published compatibility: Windows Server 2012 or later for Autom Center; Windows 7 or later for Mate Agent. For new deployments, choose an OS version that is both supported by Microsoft and approved for your installation package.

Dublin on-premises installer: not yet available as of 13 October 2026. Confirm release availability before scheduling installation.

### Certificates and installation

Use the certificate names, trust chain and OAuth configuration required by your deployment. For hybrid or split-network setups, confirm whether the Agent needs an additional PEM certificate and which certificate to use. See [Certificates and SSL](/userguide/administration-and-runtimes/certificates-and-tls.md).
